| The
College has two hostels: Padmawati Devi Phukanani
Chhatrinivas and Swahid Bhogeswari Phukanani Chhatrinivas.
Hostel seats are limited and given on merit. Admission
to the college is, in no sense, a guarantee for
a seat in the hostel. Some seats are, however,
kept reserved for SC/ST/OBC students as per rules.The
hostels are conducted in accordance with certain
rules, which are binding on every boarder. |

| The College
has an excellent library named the Mahesh Chandra
Dev Goswami Library with spacious reading rooms
for teachers and students. It includes a book
bank and contains over 32,000 books and a lot
of journals and magazines.The library provides
reprography facilities to the students at cheaper
rates. |

has a spacious two-storeyed common room for girls
with the facility of clean toilets with uninterrupted
water supply and arrangement of indoor games including
the game of table-tennis and carom. |

Centre
for Women studies |

| The Women's
Forum of the college was formed on December 2,
2003 with the objective of spiritual and physical
development of women. The Forum was registered
under Women's Study Research Centre (WSRC) of
Gauhati University with all the lady teachers
of the college as its members. Subsequently, as
per the advice of the Director, WSRC, the Forum
was renamed as the Centre for Women Studies so
as to widen the field of its activities as well
as to include all the teachers of the college
as its members. |

College, is open for the students, teachers and

| In
the context of the growing importance of English
in the global scenario the College holds Spoken
English classes regularly. |

and Career Guidance cell |
| Informally
established in 1999 and formally in 2000, the
ICGC of this college is striving to disseminate
all accessible information relating to the career
building of the students. It is making all possible
attempts to harmonize the time-honoured creative
potentials of the northeast woman with the newer
and wider career options emerging in the fast-changing
global scenario. Well-stewarded by competent teachers,
the Cell does conduct courses in personality development,
woman entrepreneurship, time management, self-analysis
and self-preparedness from time to time. |
